Praying For The Victims

April 17, 2018

I hope you include daily time set aside  for intercessory prayer for trafficking victims.

Please take time to look at reports of groups that are really making a difference.

Polaris, International Justice Mission and Exodus Cry.
Visit Exodus Cry for a prayer list.

I read again today 1 Timothy 2:1-4

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

I am guilty of not praying regularly for the leaders of our nation. Are you praying for the leaders of yours? If we all do this God will answer. Add to that the prayer that He will raise up laborers for the harvest as He commanded us to do.

Ask God to make you aware of "odd" situations around you. Louis Etongwe was such a person. He lives in Washington, D. C. area. He began to find out about domestic slaves who were sexually enslaved also. He began to do something about it. It is estimated that 35% of those slaves that are freed are because someone like Louis was paying attention.

Ask yourself, would it be worth it if you discovered one person you could help get out of slavery. Find out agencies in your area that help when you find someone in trouble. You can read Louis Etongwe's story here.

The Hot Line for Trafficking number should be in your phone:

So my friends, we do not lose heart. Our King will prevail.  He sees all that goes on inside and outside.

Let us search our hearts and ask for cleansing of any secret faults. Psalm 19:12.

Because, "If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me." Psalm 66:18.

Your Sister in Christ and Partner in the Fight for Freedom for all,
