Hello my praying friends,

We can all remember being little girls.  Some of you had good families and lived a carefree life for your growing up years.  Others suffered pain and separation from one or both parents.  You know how vulnerable and dependent you were.

The other day I was on my prayer walk around my neighborhood in Bend.  I saw coming towards me a father and his little girl, about 4.  It was after Easter
and she had on a big fluffy orange dress and tights.  I said to her father, “She has on her Easter dress, right?”  He replied, “You know it.  She wears it every day.”

Immediately the little girl ran up to me with a big smile with her arms outstretched.  I picked her up and she hugged me and said, “Grandma.  I am your new neighbor.”  I had never seen her before.  The innocence of this little girl and her openness to me was so touching.  I thanked God for that encounter.

Suddenly my heart was reminded that so many little girls in the world will never know that innocence because they were sold into sexual slavery.
We must continue to bombard heaven for these precious little ones who are being abused by family members at a young age and are so susceptible to trafficking later on.

My thanks to our former pastor, Gordon Miller, who alerted us to the latest on King County trafficking in the Seattle, Wa. area.  As many as 500 children are being sold for sex every day.  Look up to read the article.

Noel Gomez who was being interviewed told how she had lived 15 years in “the life” as they call it.  She is now free and warns other girls from her organization named Operation for Prostitution Survivors.  Other sources for help were mentioned.,, and

We must change the public view that these girls “want” to do this.  That they chose to do it.  We have to see the back side of the story. It is usually abuse and porn that has been imposed on them.

Keep praying for thousands of laborers to enter the harvest.  Jesus said the harvest is ripe.  I know we all are seeing this year how many people are rising up against this crime.

My dear friend Helen whom I sang with in the Oregon Bach Festival for many years has breast cancer.  Please pray for her recovery.   She sent me an ad
which is so poignantly expresses the  problem of self-esteem I had to share it. I am not advocating the product just the ad.  Go to

It shows an artist sketching a girl who is behind a screen as she describes herself to him.  Then a friend of hers comes in and describes her to the artist.
Completely different pictures.  Of course the friend sees her so much better than she sees herself.

Now think of this in context with sex trafficking.  These girls have been told over and over they are nothing more than a hoe and are only good for sexual uses.
They see no hope to be anything else.  Let us keep asking God for their freedom, their coming to Him who is their only hope and for the conviction of sin for the johns and the pimps.

Our King is able.

John 12 tells us:  “Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair.  And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.”

May our prayers come up to Him as a fragrant offering.  He said in James 1 “Pure  and undefiled religion before  God and the Father is this:  to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

2 Cor. 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God who ALWAYS leads us in triumph in Christ and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”

Please pray for Arthur and me as we expose these horrible evils of pornography and sex trafficking.  We are under attack as never before.  Our King will deliver.  Thanks for standing with us.

For Him,

beverly sig A
